You know what you feel.
You can't quite say it.

Latelight is a place to think about the people who matter to you. So you can finally see what you've been navigating.

For a partner. A friend. A parent. Anyone you're trying to read.

Coming to iOS this summer. We'll only email when there's something to tell you. By submitting, you agree to our privacy policy.

This is what Latelight actually makes.

A Relationship Portrait Built from your answers. Kept in second person.
“You navigate this relationship as the dutiful child.”

You navigate this relationship as the dutiful child. [Name] processes disappointment as criticism, even when nothing's gone wrong. The harder you try to please them, the more the goalposts move. You've learned to pre-soften any news that might land badly.

The conversation about [your own life choices] is the room neither of you wants to enter. You both know it's there. You've both known for years. The avoidance has shaped how you talk to each other entirely.

Living document Refines as you return.

A written portrait of the dynamic, in second person. Built from a handful of precise questions Latelight asks. Specific to your relationship, not generic. You return to it. It grows.

The moment most users describe as a chill. The AI says back what they've been sensing for years, in language they finally have.

Three steps. Five to eight questions.
One Portrait you keep.

  1. Add a person.

The friend who's gone cold. The parent. The partner you can't quite read. Whoever it is, Latelight starts with them.

  2. Answer a few precise questions.

Not twenty. Not therapy. Five to eight precise questions designed to surface the dynamic you already sense, in your own words.

  3. Get your Portrait.

A written narrative of the relationship, in second person. Yours to return to, refine, push back on. From there: notice what's happening beneath the surface. Get a second read on something before you send it. Ask for wording, only when you want it.

But couldn't I just use ChatGPT?

You could, if you knew how to prompt it for depth. ChatGPT is a blank canvas. Latelight is the purpose-built instrument. It asks the right questions, holds the Portrait, and remembers your specific dynamic. Every time you come back, it's smarter about your relationship, not starting from scratch.

Reddit takes hours and gives you strangers' hot takes. TikTok therapy gives you generic “5 signs of X” content. Latelight is private, persistent, and specific to you.

I built Latelight after one specific 2am. I was reconnecting with someone after years apart, and I needed a second read on what I was about to say. I pasted the conversation into ChatGPT, and in a few exchanges it described the dynamic I'd spent years sensing. But I was doing all the prompting work.

That was the lightbulb. Most people aren't going to be AI whisperers, and they shouldn't have to be. Latelight is the purpose-built instrument for the part of life that doesn't fit in a productivity app: the relationships you carry around in your head.
